Chicken Pod

The Chicken Pod measures 1.2m x 0.95m and stands 1.15m tall. It is constructed from tongue and grooved wooden boards on a softwood frame, and clad with a softwood tanalised feather edge board for maximum longevity.

The whole unit is mounted on two substantial wheels with handles for easy manoeuvrability.  It has an attached ramp for the poultry to access the house which also acts as a door and can be locked off to prevent foxes etc gaining access at night.

Mounted on the back is a block of two laying boxes with a hinged drop down external door for egg removal. The whole of the egg laying box lifts out of the way to leave an access hole into the main house for cleaning out. There is also a single removable perch inside.

Available untreated, or treated in either Forget Me Not Blue or Seagrass Green (shown in image) from the Cuprinol Garden Colours range.

Also available with an optional run, measuring 6’ long. Complete with end opening door and lift up top for easy access. The run screws to the hut meaning it can still be moved as a unit.
